On friday July 13th, the fourth TYPO3 Certifuncation took place at the Phantasialand near Cologne. Nearly 450 participants from all over the world joined this awesome event to (re-)certify and to have fun. Read on for my recap of this event. (more…)
Wohoo! This is my 100th article about on this blog. It is time to look back onto the “journey”, talk about the motivations and what you can expect in the future.
After eight months, about 1200 commits later and many many hard coding hours the first sprint release TYPO3 version 9 was released on December 12th 2017. Six weeks later the next sprint release 9.1 was published on January, 30th. Both contain 56 deprecations, 71 new features, 76 breaking and 21 important changes. I will try to shed some light on these changes in this post.
The @workingdraft podcast invited me to talk about the topic “TYPO3 Performance”. In this post I will share how it came to that invitation. In the second part of this post I describe the learnings out of my first recorded podcast.

The TYPO3 University Days 2017 took place on September 28th and 29th in Darmstadt. About 120 people from universities and sponsors met at the Hochschule Darmstadt to discuss and work on TYPO3 related topics. (more…)
